Eliza and Sarah Maund created a wide array of illustrations for their father, Benjamin Maund. Appearing primarily in The Botanic Garden and The Botanist - published serially between 1825 and 1846 - the Misses Maund's work has a vibrance and delicacy to match any of their contemporaries. Though Benjamin Maund achieved substantial fame in botanical circles and became a fellow of the Linnean Society, the lives of Eliza and Sarah remain largely undocumented.
