AE Marty

André Édouard Marty, in addition to his wistful and often somber illustrations, was appointed to the jury for the 1925 Exposition Internationale des Arts Décoratifs et Industriels Modernes – the expo whose abbreviated title became the name of the Art Deco movement. Like Barbier, he worked significantly with the Ballets Russes, producing numerous advertisements and posters for the dance company.
